| From exhibit "6th Expressive self portrait" by ISABEL898 (Art ID #31522193) from Ray Marsh Elementary School— grade 6 Students studied the work of Edward Munch and learned about the Expressionism movement. Students then were challenged to show an emotion while taking a photo of themselves. They then drew from that photo and chose colors to support the emotion they were trying to express. This students chose to use warm colors in her background to represent verbal violence and bullying. The cool colors represent the depression that bullying causes. |

| Patriotic person: Jack From exhibit "6th Grade Graffiti Art" by Jack4349 (Art ID #32420157) from Ray Marsh Elementary School— grade 6
Jack4349 said this about his/her artwork ...
I used blue red and grey so I could make an American flag. I used the American flag because I'm a patriotic person. My favorite part of this project was making the American flag. My least favorite part was sketching my ideas. It was easy to outline the name. It was hard to sketch my ideas.

The 5th Grade students worked in small groups to create an animated short film. Students wrote their own plots, created their own sets, formed the clay figures, shot hundred of frames of pictures, and even composed their own music on the Art iPads.

| Names and Symbols From exhibit "5th Grade Names and Symbols" by Teagan132 (Art ID #33016079) from Ray Marsh Elementary School— grade 5
Teagan132 said this about his/her artwork ...
During this project I learned about negative spaces. I used math symbols to represent that I love math, paint pallets because I love art, glasses because I wear glasses and I'm smart, softballs because I love playing catch with my dad and my little brother, and ice cream because I have a big sweet tooth. My favorite part of this project was coloring it in. My least favorite part of this project is brainstorming the symbols. It was hard! The easiest part of this project was coloring it in. Brainstorming and drawing the symbols was the hardest part of this project in my opinion.

| Flower Girl From exhibit "4th Grade Photo Scale" by Comfort5 (Art ID #33740899) from Ray Marsh Elementary School— grade 4
Comfort5 said this about his/her artwork ...
I like taking the picture and editing the picture. I like every thing about this project. I like flowers. This one got my attention. I would say my pose is my favorite part of my artwork. I learned about line, shape, form, space, color, value and texture. It surprises me how I change things and make them into different forms. I went outside and took some pictures and my art teacher took pictures of us on a green-screen and then opened this app called PicsArt and after a few adjustments I was done!

| Art suplies From exhibit "4th Grade Morphed Me" by Carmela46 (Art ID #32700020) from Ray Marsh Elementary School— grade 4
Carmela46 said this about his/her artwork ...
I learned that it was not easy to morph my name in to letters. The theme that I chose was Art supplies because I love to draw and color. My favorite part about the project is that we got to outline in marker. My least favorite part was that we had to color in the back ground. The easiest part about this was that the coloring in with crayons. The hardest part about this project was we had to morph our names in to stuff.
